The 8th Colloquium High Velocity Oxy-Fuel Flame Spraying took place in Erding near Munich from November 5th to 8th, 2009

For several years, HVOF-experts from all over the world have met at the colloquium. IBEDA as well took part in the brisk exchange of experience and introduced the new IBEDA HVOF-flame spraying gun TopGun Typhoon. Furthermore, Mr. Gerd Weissenfels, IBEDA Managing Director, participated actively, together with Dr. C. Rupprecht from the TU Chemnitz, in various colloquium lectures regarding “New Systems and Components”.

The new IBEDA product development TopGun TYPHOON

This HVOF-gun is a consistent refinement of the TopGun AirJet, initiating the rotation of the cooling gas by the angular stabilized streaming of the cooling gas, similar to a Typhoon, resulting in a stabilized and focused free jet. Consequently, the cooling efficiency is highly improved. With this, process performances have been achieved, which had only been possible with water-cooled systems so far.
